Question by Yan B: I cannot update McAfee, AdAware and MS Security patches. Virus? What to do? I suspect I got a computer virus. The computer slowed down, firewall got turned off somehow, and the font changed in my web browser. To check for virus I installed old McAfee (about 3 year old version) and current Lavasoft AdAware (but with old definitions file from 2005) anti-virus software and tried to update them. I also tried to download the latest security update from Microsoft. I am connected to the internet and can browse it, but all updates failed – when I clicked “Update” buttons the updates did not go through.
