Question by party up: Can someone please help me to get rid of a virus, spyware, or malware “av.exe”? its ruining my computer!? WTF??? i was trying to find a web site to watch tv shows online for free and i got this stupid virus!!! It can not be caught by windows live one care (thanks a friggin lot microsoft !?#@!!!) and it seems to disrupt my spybot search and destroy so that it cant be caught on a virus scan. Also when I stop the av.exe process on the task manager it goes away temporatily but come right back. Now its disrupting what web sites i try to look at and i can not delete the file out of the hard drive without it regenerating itself. Holy crap this is irritating. Question by bigsis: I need help with removal of “malware”? from my computer? I was recently in my Hotmail and I had a big box pop up warning me of a virus picked up from Hotmail. It was a “Microsoft” warning and stated that I needed to “download the following” in order to remove this. Yep- I sure did. Now I have Adware? Malware? that is blocking access to anything and everything on my PC. I cannot get into anything including programs! I have tried to interrupt this and start my PC in safe mode etc with no luck (unless I am doing something wrong? I have a Dell Dimension 3000). Can anyone help me with this? I am using a friends old PC for now but all of my programs etc are on my infected ....> The Post Continues Here! <....

Question by : I got rid of the “vista malware” virus and now almost nothing on my computer will work, any help? So I got that stupid Vista malware virus, where it stops everything you try to do and pulls up that pop up thats “scanning” for viruses. Well I turned on my computer in safe mode, ran a scan of my computer, and deleted sgu.exe out of the processes in task manager. Someone told me that was how to get rid of the virus, and it did, buuuut now everything is messed up. Every time I click on anything on my desktop a message that will say something along the lines of “C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe Application not found.” And thats what I get for anything I try ....> The Post Continues Here! <....

Question by : Can you help my delete this malware? I have the malware “Windows Security Tool” in my computer (it somehow installed itself.) Anyways, I’m trying to find some kind of free malware removal product until I can repurchase Avast! BUT– The name of the malware removal can’t have a name like “maleware_remover.exe” it has to have a different name so the malware doesn’t detect it. And I can’t change the file names right now because the Windows Security Tool blocks me from doing it. Help!? My computer is not turning off! help!?

I pressed the start>turn off computer>clicked on shut down the regular way, 2 mins later I noticed, that my desktop had gone, but the wallpaper is still there, the only way i could turn off my laptop was by removing the battery. later i turned on the laptop again, and did the same procedure, this time i got a regular options, if i wanted to install the updates before turning off the computer or just turning off the computer, since last time i clicked on “regular turn off” this time i clicked “turn off, with installing updates” and yet the same thing happened. and since a week or two, my Microsoft security essentials isnt updati ....> The Post Continues Here! <....

I have been using Microsoft Office 2007 since last year and I can update it by opening MS Word>Menu logo>Word Options>Resources Tab. On the resources tab, you can click “check for updates” and it can normally check for updates by that time. But since I’ve made some changes on the security of my pc, i can’t update it anymore. It always says, “This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.” What should I do now? I was updating my computer and removing files to free up some memory, so I decided to go to the microsoft website and see if there was any downloads and updates. And I seen the download for Microsoft Security Essentials, I read it’s description and downloaded it. After it downloaded it restarted my computer and came back on to install updates. IE8 stopped working. Every time I click on it, it freezes up immediately. No problem: I just use firefox and just downloaded Chrome and Opera. Now I can’t download “Norton Internet Security,” and I can’t update “critical” Microsoft Updates. Does anyone have an idea of how I can correct this. Thanks very much. Best answer: Answer by pthc69This happend to me when i had a non legit copy of windows installed. If it is a copy you wont be able to fix it. It does sound like a registry problem though. Question by anne: please someone help, a spyware warning, what to do? okay, my computer is freaking out, it deleted my wallpaper and put up this warning that says “Warning Spyware Threat Has Been Detected on Your PC, your computer has several fatal errors due to spyware activity Your Adress is ——– and via this address an unauthorized was gained by another computer it is strongly recommended to install an antispyware software to close all security vulnerabilities.” and this message keeps popping up from microsoft or something that says to update your spyware software to delete the spyware, but i have to buy it. and if i change the wallpaper to another picture, the computer keeps it for like 2 ....> The Post Continues Here! <....

Question by n 7: Omg Help me?! WTF is happening? PLEASE? Okay, so I turn on my computer the other day, to see thay my backround has been changed to all black with words that read, “Warning! Spyware threat has been detected on your PC. Your computer has suffered fatal errors due to spyware activity. Your IP adress is (taken out) and via this address unauthorized access was gained by another computer. It is strongly reccomended to install antispyware software to close all security vulnerabilities.” I can’t change it, it will just revert back to it. Computer virus help? Help me please.?

Question by JMcC: Computer virus help? Help me please.? I have some serious problems with my computer. Everytime I try to log onto the internet, there is a popup that reminds you to clean your computer with Anti-Virus program, and it is nonstop. On my desktop there is a message that reads, ” Your computer has several fatal errors due to spyware activity… Your IP Address is 66.32.8.175 and via this address an unauthorized access was gained by another computer. It is strongly reccomended to install an antispyware software to close all security vulnerabilities.” What do I do to fix this problem? Norton Antivirus will not install… Norton Antivirus failed because of so many viruses. I don’t trust ....> The Post Continues Here! <....
