How do i get this security update off of my computer?

Question by Who Am I?: How do i get this security update off of my computer?
It’s a new update “Security update for Microsoft Works 9 (KB2092914)” on my toshiba laptop computer. It has tried 25 times to update, but failed every time. Even if I uncheck it, it still remains and I keep being told I have this Security update. How do I get it out of my computer?

When you are in Microsoft Update, click on the little plus sign beside the KB number and you should see an option to tickmark to hide the update. That way it will stop pestering you and will not appear when getting future security patches. You can easily recover the update at a later time should you want to try and install it again.

However, Microsoft does provide free support for updates that fail to install. For home users, no-charge support is available by calling 1-866-PCSAFETY in the United States and Canada or by contacting your local Microsoft subsidiary. For more information about how to contact your local Microsoft subsidiary for support issues with security updates, visit the Microsoft International Support website:

http://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx?rdpath=4

North American customers can also obtain instant access to unlimited no-charge email support or to unlimited individual chat support by visiting the following Microsoft website:
